Pallet Covers & Wraps

Corner Boards & Protectors

Pallet collars are a versatile packaging option in modern logistics. Here is a general overview of how they work, their load-bearing properties, and how they compare with traditional crating.
How Collar Stacking Works
Each pallet collar is a rectangular wooden frame with hinges at the corners. The collar sits directly on the pallet deck (or on top of a previously placed collar) and creates a rigid, freestanding wall around the pallet perimeter. The hinges allow the collar to fold flat when not in use, reducing its storage footprint considerably.
Multiple collars stack on top of each other to create a taller container. Each collar commonly adds about 7.5 inches (200mm) of wall height, so stacking two collars gives about 15 inches, three about 22.5 inches, and so on. The corners interlock with the collar below, preventing lateral shifting and creating a self-aligning system.

Stretch Wrap Film
Machine-grade and hand-grade stretch film in a range of gauges. Stretch wrap unitizes palletized loads by binding cartons and products to the pallet with tension. Applied in a spiral pattern, it conforms to irregular load shapes. Machine-applied wrap generally gives more consistent tension than hand wrapping. Shrink Wrap (Heat Shrink)
Polyolefin and polyethylene shrink film that conforms to the load when heated with a heat gun or shrink tunnel. Unlike stretch wrap, shrink wrap provides a sealed enclosure that protects against dust, moisture, and tampering. Commonly used for bundling smaller items on pallets (beverage multipacks, boxed sets) and for weatherproofing outdoor storage pallets. Edge Protectors & Corner Boards
L-shaped or U-shaped protectors made from compressed recycled paperboard, plastic, or formed steel.
